Dr. Bielanski grew up in the Midwest in Frankfort, Illinois, a suburb south of Chicago.
He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he spent three years as a cheerleader and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. During this time he also worked in multiple small animal clinics near his hometown during his summers.
Dr. Bielanski moved to Houston shortly after completing his undergraduate studies to live with his girlfriend, now wife, Nikol. He spent two years working in small animal and emergency practices around Houston until being accepted at the Veterinary College at the University of Pennsylvania. During his time at PennVet, Dr. Bielanski took great pride in being Treasurer for the Beer Barons, a self-organized, student-elected group whose primary responsibility was organizing and facilitating weekly happy hours for students as well as larger events throughout the year. In his second year, Dr. Bielanski also represented the American Heartworm Society as a student liaison. Entering his third year, Dr. Bielanski found his true veterinary passion in rehabilitation medicine. He spent his summer working in the PennVet rehabilitation department, after which he ended up being the winner for the Royal Canin and American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians Student Case Report Competition. He presented his report at the 2022 International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management Conference in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Bielanski lives with his wife, Nikol, in Memorial City. They currently have no children of their own, including the two-legged and four-legged variety, but are hoping to adopt a rescue after getting further settled. Dr. Bielanski is an avid fitness enthusiast and sports fan, especially football and hockey. He also willfully admits to being a Disney adult as well as having a particular fondness for animated films, musical composition/scoring, anime, and video games.
