Dr. Evelyn Sierra is a bilingual (Spanish and English) Texas A&M Veterinary School graduate and has been in the veterinary field for over 29 years.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

After high school graduation, Dr. Sierra moved to Boston where she earned a Bachelor in Liberal Arts & Science, with a major in Biology from Boston University in 1983. After graduating from BU, Dr. Sierra relocated to Houston, where she worked as a research assistant in the Medical Center. In 1985, she was accepted at Texas A & M University, College Of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned a PhD in Veterinary Anatomy in 1991, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. During her distinguished veterinary career, Dr. Sierra published papers in Toxicology and Neuro Toxicology.

Dr. Sierra has worked for shelters, emergency hospitals, private practice, corporate practice, and as a private contract relief veterinarian. Currently, Dr. Sierra is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association. She is passionate about internal medicine and practices a multimodal approach to patient therapy. She is also a client education advocate and enjoys taking the time with each client to educate them on their pet's condition and treatment.

When Dr. Sierra is not practicing, she is spending time with her awesome husband Ed (together since 1979) and traveling to see her son, a tuba player, and Music Education major at the University of Louisiana. Her furry children include: Ivory, a 30-year-old African Grey Timneh Parrot, two cats, Bubbles & Simba, and her two dogs Midnight & Rosy.
